Symposium Essen + Trinken - Shaping the future of the food industry together

Ready - SET - Go! The Symposium Essen + Trinken is getting ready for the future as a dialog platform for the food industry

More Symposium - More Future: This is the motto under which the Symposium Essen + Trinken (SET), one of the leading dialog platforms in the DACH region for over 30 years on the topics of nutrition, responsibility, sustainability and technology, is repositioning itself and presenting its recipe for the sustainable transformation of the industry. From 2025, regular events will lay the foundations for a future-proof community that brings together all relevant operational decision-makers from trade, industry, politics, associations, business, science and producers for dialog at eye level.

Cécile Möhring, Managing Director of SET: “By bringing together all players and decision-makers in the industry at regular intervals and with different focuses, but always with a focus on nutrition, we are reflecting on what has been associated with food + drink since time immemorial: Community, dialog and, last but not least, enjoyment. We refine and condense these basic ingredients with a good pinch of innovation, diversification and networking to create a menu of events, offers and communication channels that only develop their full synergetic effect when they work together.”

With two main events, the SET KICK-OFF on March 6, 2025 and SET CONNECT on September 25, 2025, the new symposium, around which additional events are already being diligently planned, will be launched in the coming year. These include the first young talent congresses for trade and industry (SET NEXT) planned for 2026, exciting CLUB TALKS (fireside chats in a small, exclusive setting), a regular podcast (FOODYNSIDER) as well as other exclusive EVENTS and an additional network (WOMEN LEAD), which aims to strengthen women in the industry in the long term.

The ingredients for a sustainable transformation are ready and the recipes have been written. Now the players just need to sit down at the table together and become part of a community that will sustainably change and drive the future of the food and grocery industry.
